Andrew Ashton is a communication and design consultant for brands, products and organisations
Quality, courage, and value guide the practice.
Andrew is practice-led (values over profiteering), audience-centered, and ideas-focused.
Andrew is an internationally recognised creative director, educator, maker, sometimes provocateur. Andrew is fascinated with how a creative outlook plays a vital role in life – inspired places, unforgettable anthems, moving experiences, to brands that wink back – spirits the practice to tease out, dream up and inspire the pursuit of great ideas.
Andrew splits his time between client projects and commissions, working with studios and in the academic space, based in Melbourne and Sydney
Aa Design respectfully acknowledges the Yalukit Wilam Clan of the Boon Wurrung. We pay our respect to their Elders, both past and present. We acknowledge and uphold their continuing relationship to this land
Inspiring a diversity of people and clients to think and act with creativity makes me tick.
Behind every great idea, experience and brand is a mindset and culture that value creative thinking. Our practice explores and encourages everyone; from client to designer, to make creative thinking part of their problem-solving kit.
Our collaborations start with exploring the task – discovering the product, audiences and opportunities. Together we work out ways to make and form connections with outcomes created and designed to inspire, be desired, sell out, and sometimes stolen. Our practice operates with simple processes, personal service and sharing knowledge.
For over 35 years we have worked with people and organisations large, small, powerful and influential across a range of creative media – from brands, writing, digital, events, art direction, packaging, product development, signing, artworks to customer mapping.
